Job Summary/Description:

Do you have a passion for storytelling and a drive to be #1? KTIV News 4 is looking for a high-energy News Producer to lead our multi-platform coverage in Sioux City. If you're ready to own the news cycle and connect with our community across every screen, we want to talk to you.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Craft compelling newscasts: Write, edit, and produce fast-paced, engaging content for broadcast and digital platforms every single day.
- Own the digital space: Push breaking news and exclusive content to our website, app, and social media channels first-because that's where our audience is.
- Lead the newsroom: Collaborate with reporters, photographers, and anchors to execute a vision that keeps us as "Siouxland's News Source."
- React with urgency: Pivot quickly during breaking news or severe weather to provide authoritative, life-saving information to our viewers.
- Innovate storytelling: Use creative graphics and multi-platform tools to make complex stories relatable, visual, and shareable.
- Maintain accuracy: Ensure every script and digital post meets the highest standards of journalistic integrity.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- A digital-first mindset: You understand that news happens everywhere, and you're comfortable creating content for social and streaming, not just TV.
- Killer writing skills: You can turn a dry press release into a "must-watch" story with punchy, conversational copy that sounds like a human, not a robot.
- Calm under pressure: You thrive in the "organized chaos" of a live control room and actually enjoy the rush of a ticking clock.
- Technical savvy: Experience with newsroom computer systems (like ENPS) and non-linear editing is a major plus, but your willingness to learn is even better.
- A degree in journalism: Or a related field, paired with a deep hunger to grow in a top-rated, award-winning newsroom.
- Collaborative spirit: You're a team player who values feedback, lifts others up, and loves brainstorming the "big idea."
