$40,000 - $46,000/annually (Starting pay, based on experience)

Job Summary/Description:
WABI TV5, the weather leader in Bangor, is looking to add a dynamic meteorologist to the market's most experienced weather team. The right candidate will have a combination of broadcast, digital, and technological expertise to tell compelling weather stories on all platforms. The ideal candidate will also help in other needed areas during the week, including providing content for our digital news desk, assisting with news production and social media, and designing weather graphics.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Serve as primary weather anchor for the station's weekend morning and evening newscasts
- Fill in during other shifts when needed (including holidays)
- Live weather reporting both on air and on our digital news desk
- General news/digital production duties on weekdays
- Building weather graphics for all platforms
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Meteorology or related field
- Knowledge of weather systems (WSI MAX) and newsroom software (ENPS) would be helpful
