About the Role

The IT Systems Administrator installs, maintains, and troubleshoots the information technology systems needed to operate a television station, including servers, workstations, and data networks. This role provides multi-tier support for all aspects of IT operations, including infrastructure that supports Broadcast Operations. The position also initiates, facilitates, and oversees special and ongoing broadcast projects at the WHEC studio and transmitter site.

$26.00 to $34.00 per hour

Requirements

• Previous technical experience in broadcasting or media is preferred.
• Must be able to take initiative but also to follow direction when required and have a strong ability to meet tight deadlines and work well in pressure situations.
• Solid organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential information in a professional manner.

Experience

• Post-secondary technical or IT degree, or equivalent experience, license, or certification.
• Two or more years of related work experience in essential job functions.
• Knowledge of information technology is relevant to essential job functions including:
  
  • Windows-based server administration and associated user workstations (including Microsoft Exchange,)
  • IP Networks,
  • Network and File System Security
